The Academy hosted it's first Women in Science Summit on January 28, 2016 with special guests including Jane Goodall (Gombe Reserve), Sylvia Earle (National Geographic Society Explorer-in-Residence), Dawn Wright (ESRI), Pam Matson (Stanford University), Jane Lubchenco (former head of NOAA), Kathy Sullivan (first woman to walk in space) and other influential leaders.
