About This Lesson

Voice of the Wood is a play adapted from the book by Claude Clément. The play and story have inspired such lessons as transforming an ordinary object into something other than its normal use, creating a toy theatre production based on a children's book, and learning about the Italian Theatre style called Commedia dell'Arte. Students are introduced to the stock characters and then will create contemporary characters based on these models. The Power of Nature and Transformation are highlighted throughout.
