About This Lesson
A quick properties of matter lab.
I like to use salt, sugar, bakinng soda, and flour as my four powders.
I also usually give my students access to a variety of tools for making observation (thermometers, magnifying glasses, microscopes, etc), but don't give them any more information that the word "observe." This can lead to a jigsawing activity where you have students compare information found through the different methods of observation used.
