About This Lesson

In this performance task, students will be able to sort, collect and graph data.  Students will take a nature walk to observe and count different types of trees, exploring the terms greater than and less than. Students, will also collect leaves and will be able to sort leaves based on color and/or shape. Finally, students will use the data collected to make bar graphs representing the different types of trees and leaves. This task is aimed towards kindergartners but can be adapted to fit higher grade levels.
