About This Lesson

In this video, Albuquerque teacher Ali Nava walks her students through an interactive reading of the final pages of Burro's Tortillas, a southwestern adaptation of the classic folk tale "The Little Red Hen." She asks them to summarize earlier parts of the story, predict the end of the story, and discuss the story's moral. Aligned to CCSS: SL.1.1, SL.1.2, SL.1.4, SL.1.5, RL.1.1, RL.1.2, RL.1.3, RL.1.7
