About This Lesson
Central to the Common Core State Standards is the need for students to analyze and interpret text. This Quote Analysis Guide helps students do just that. With this guide, students will learn how to enhance their analysis with introductory tags and how to integrate their quote into their writing. In addition, students will be able to review examples of what to do and what not to do when it comes to introducing quotations into their writing. The instruction also provides verbs and phrases that can be used to introduce quotes.
